Thought I'd put this up, due to mom downloading quite a few apps for her iPad over the last few weeks. I guess she's making up for all the years she hardly played any.
It's a bit funny, as she was never into games that much; she's not real coordinated with them. She gave up on the Wii Fit Plus games quite a while back, and there are over 60 of them on that lil' optical disc. One day she decided to try out our Atari 2600, which was really odd. We didn't have much other than Combat and Space Invaders at the time though; not really something girls were too interested in (or at least not with Combat, due to many different controls [depending on the game variations] that I'm sure my mom probably couldn't handle). She thought Kaboom! was really funny when a friend brought it over and the bomber smiled when you missed a bomb, but that was about it. And Mouse Trap in the arcades when you barked like a dog and the cats meowed when you caught them. If I'm ever able to snag a Light Pen and one or both of the drawing programs she might find that interesting, due to being the only artist in the family.
Dad never played anything either until I introduced the nephew to my Pulsonic Baseball 2 handheld, for some reason. Since the game didn't keep score, he got all seriously into it, keeping scores and innings for several days. And this was only sometime in the last several years when he did that!
Other than that, all he's ever played (/is addicted to) is a Hoyle Card Games cd either the nephew or my sister gave him for Christmas a few years ago. He plays that on a daily basis.
Anyone else have any similar stories?
