It's been a while since being offer but The Retro Zone ( www.retrousb.com/) used to sell a Vectrex to USB Adapter. It was tested on Vectrex emulators available at the time. There as even an option to modify a controller to have an internal adapter offered as a conversion of a Vectrex controller for full time PC use. The development of the adapter was don using one of my new Vectrex controllers to decrease the possibility of wear and tear being a factor. The adapter was tested using the Vectrex emulators available at the time. For historys sake here is the Archive.org site at the time the adapter and conversion were being sold: web.archive.org/web/20060213222703/http://retrousb.com/vectrex.htmlIn relation to the Kokovec project I would still say having the adapter was nice. But as previously mentioned, software features to alter mapping and functions would be something to set your adapter apart. If your project comes together in the future please add the software feature to perform fine calibration for the analog joystick. This feature would be welcome to compensate for problems experienced by worn and aging Vectrex controllers. Alternatively, a button on the adapter used to activate an internal feature to establish centering and endpoint limits would be a cool feature to help compensate without having to use a Windows/Linux software feature to do the same.
