Looks like there are at least two modes (as shown in the first video), one being where the tracks will advance during the game, then in the second video they will only advance after a lap is completed. Game play is also not as long in that one if you don't do well.
Its definitely getting a cart release. It's by my friend Jim who I've been helping learn assembly/vectrex programming. This video was filmed on my Vectrex on Sunday while Jim was making some tests on the real hardware. It will be paired with my version of 'Death Race' on one cart. More details soon.

Are you guys considering producing OVERLAYS for your games?
I would be interested in facilitating that if I ever make progress with my own overlays. At this point I still have no special insight to contribute as far as the manufacture of the production run. But I do have the ability to do some design work and make (low quality) test overlays. (see youtube user gliptitude: War of the Worlds, Starhawk and Astral-Clewe)
