Looks like a rare racing game, patterned after an old Atari coin-op or two, is coming to the Vectrex Click here for first vidLooks like there are at least two modes (as shown in the first video), one being where the tracks will advance during the game, then in the second video they will only advance after a lap is completed. Game play is also not as long in that one if you don't do well.

Its definitely getting a cart release. It's by my friend Jim who I've been helping learn assembly/vectrex programming. This video was filmed on my Vectrex on Sunday while Jim was making some tests on the real hardware. It will be paired with my version of 'Death Race' on one cart. More details soon.

Please tell me that there will be support for the Atari driving controller and/or Fury's Vectrosis controller and/or Fury's Overdrive controller! :]
Thanks, -Jason

It will be paired with my version of 'Death Race' on one cart. Wow, so will it have THREE games on it, or did you decide to do something else with N. Attack? It's by my friend Jim who I've been helping learn assembly/vectrex programming. That's cool for the two of you to do this.

Nagoya Attack will be paired with another shmup I have in development. NOX/Death race is a 64k cart with NOX on one 'side', Death Race on the other.

I'll pass on the code to Jim to add to NOX. I think the Overdrive controller will work with the joystick option.

We have still to finish the games off and source cart shells. Once that is done, we shall release. Jim is planning to release a demo binary of NOX soon.

Yes awesome news and cool of you guys to share the works in progress! Maybe this will help mitigate the coming loss of classicgamecreations.com.
Are you guys considering producing OVERLAYS for your games?
I would be interested in facilitating that if I ever make progress with my own overlays. At this point I still have no special insight to contribute as far as the manufacture of the production run. But I do have the ability to do some design work and make (low quality) test overlays. (see youtube user gliptitude: War of the Worlds, Starhawk and Astral-Clewe)

It would be awesome if the games were made to also have overlays. They just add to the experience.

The video of NOX looks very promising! Thank you for your effort, Jim. And thanks, Chris, for teaching Jim so well. ;-)
A silk-screen printed overlay would be the icing on the cake.
