Wow, terrible cover of Lode Runner!
I've still got my pc copy from ages ago, like 1988 or something.

This is not necessarily gaming related... I recently picked up a Roland MT90s. It is meant to be used as a piano tutor but I'll be using it as a midi jukebox. It plays midis off a floppy or through a connected midi port. So basically I'll be able to listen to Doom and Descent music with nice Roland hardware through my stereo. If I ever find a broken one I'd like to have a go at hacking a DreamBlaster X2 into it.

I just picked up an old friend of mine.. a C128. My father gifted one to me back in 1985 but had to sell it in the mid 90's. This one needed some work and I had to take it all apart to get it up and running again. The keyboard didn't work and I figured out it was a bad 6526 CIA so I swapped it out with one I had from an old C64. I also had to completely take apart the keyboard and clean all the contacts. To be able to use 80 column mode I bought a CGLabs CGA2RGBv2 adapter along with a GBS8200 converter. 40 column mode is accomplished via a cheap s-vid to VGA adapter. Not great but it works. Eventually I'll get around to purchasing something like a RetroTINK 2X-Pro. The power supply that came with the C128 ended up biting the big one so I purchased a "modern" C128 PS. I also decided to upgrade the C128 and C64 Kernals to JiffyDOS. The power supply switch had to be replaced as well as it got corroded after being stuck in one position for a couple of decades.

^Wow, lotta cool work you did there! This one is a case of not judging the book by its cover. Well, I know via personal experience how great Lode Runner is. It's not like something like Pitfall! for the NES where it was really screwed up.

The PS1 version is essentially the same game but with updated graphics.

Alright, I "upgraded" these Vectrex games. New labels and sleeves for VHS cases were made available online for free to replace the simplistic label on the carts as originally released and to give them cases. The only thing missing is some type of manual. In any case, you can see the carts with the original labels (SpideX and and KnightEx, since MineX's label is good enough) and the new labels. They look much nicer!

Nice! I had actually set out to make universal game case art for the first two games but stopped once Paolo ran with it. I kind of liked the homebrew labels though. Too bad they will peel eventually.
I finally got around to ordering Logo Lite, Spike's Circus, and Star Sling. Spike's Circus is much more fun than I imagined it would be. I haven't gotten around to the others yet.
I bought the original DOOM, DOOM 2, and DOOM 3 on the Switch on sale recently. They made John Romero's SIGIL mod an add-on for DOOM 1 so I went through that.

I finally assembled these boxes. I have all the games but they did not have standard boxes. They came in CD cases or flimsy plastic cases.

These finally came in! Not games but a documentary I supported on Kickstarter about the artwork on the boxes of games.
