For reference... if 'one' had the PCBs what do you then need to do/have to get code on them so it was a working cart? Depends on the design. I deliver my pcbs assembled and a programming adaptor. Could also deliver the pcbs already programmed. The cheapest configuration is 64k ROM max and the most complicated one 512k ROM + 32k RAM. But anything can be customised, like pcb colour/shape/logos/more than 512k ROM, etc.

Aha, so sounds like I'm better off waiting until I know the size of my game to order the boards, cool. Would want RAM for High Score but no idea how much ROM just yet.

Hi madtronix... I thought that 64kb was the maximum the vectrex could address... how can it address 512kb? With bankswitching. I never had any other of the menu driven multicarts myself but I assume they all use some logic circuit on the PB6 line (which is used for 64k games aswell) to switch banks. You can easily upgrade that to several megabytes, but as of now 512k seems a lot for a game/program;-)

Our PCBs are for 32K and 64K 27cxxx eproms (the same used in most Vectrex homebrew up to this point). They support high-score saving with an additional component. All you need to do to get a game on the cart is burn an EPROM and solder it to the PCB.

The Vectrex cartridge shell order will go in very soon. Everyone interested should finalize their order with the appropriate person.

Hi, how does one confirm an order? I'd expressed an interest in 200.
Cheers,

Thanks Chris. Yes, I plan to finalise the order with Sean this week so can UK/EU people please confirm their amount with a PM here or via facebook (https://www.facebook.com/kidquaalude)
Current estimate cost for EU carts (including shipping from china to uk but excluding the cost of shipping to UK/EU) : $2.85 per cart. Minimum order 100 carts.
Thanks.

Is there a chance that someone is going to be selling individual carts for those who would only like a couple?

I'm sure that won't be a problem. Still waiting on EU carts at the mo, hopefully shouldn't be too long now.

Update : Due to a bit of a mix-up (nothing to do with me), the cart shells have been delayed slightly. They should arrive with me around the 1st of May.

No worries... my main use for them right now is to sit by the development computer and taunt me into hurrying up with my game!
