My guess is that he's busy. Warrior still hasn't been released, right? He's got that and other things to do, I'm sure. He's not one to leave things hanging. Delayed, yeah, but he'll get back to us sooner or later

Not that he's a big poster on here, but he hasn't been on here in over a month either. I'm sure he'll reappear in both places, as I noticed the Warrior page was updated, as for a while it just showed that one boss on there for quite some time. I just noticed today there are now three of them (or maybe it's just three game characters, rather than bosses). So that at least has been updated in the last few weeks, maybe longer or earlier (don't know when exactly).

Hey guys,
I'll update the Tail Gunner page hopefully in February. Also will be posting the finalized Warrior screen overlay maybe before the end of this month.
Tail Gunner 2012 will follow Warrior 2012, but I won't be getting too much into Tail Gunner until Warrior starts to ship (no announcement yet for the actual Warrior release date). It's just an enormous amount of work, but progress is being made on it every night (programming, overlay design, box design, everything).
The characters that you see on the Warrior page are opponents in the 1-player game. From left to right, the Iron Maiden, the Warlok, and the Warlord. Other opponents are the Warhorse, the War-God, and... (I'll keep one name a secret for now).

Tail Gunner is a great game - simple but fun. It's also one of the games I've considered remaking myself, but just never gotten to (yet).

You're thinking of ' Neon Invasion Earth', but I can finish it without him if I have to so it's not too big a problem. However, he hasn't decided (as far as I know) to just not reply to my messages - like the guy who said he'd help out with graphics on my X-Quest 2 remake, and I got a message from him 3-4 months ago where he said "just let me know when you're ready" so I hope he's still up for it once I'm ready too. He put so much good work into it "back then" so I hope we can resume work on it sometime later this year. - but just in case...I could do it myself. The big question is just: Black Widow or Neon Invasion Earth first?...I'm leaning towards Black Widow, btw.

Either one would be cool I still love Space Invaders-type games, but that's a lot of keys to play B. Widow on a keyboard! Nice to see that one remade though, that's not exactly one out there that people clone a lot--or any--of!

...but that's a lot of keys to play B. Widow on a keyboard! That's actually one of the two big issues I have with it right now. Me?...Personally I don't have a problem controlling it with 8 keys - and it works nicely that way, but I've never been good at coding joypad controls (so many damn things to take into account) and I would imagine that people would tell me I'm stupid for not putting it in if I don't. So that's one coding hurdle right there. Another hurdle is that I need to look into splines, which is something I've never used before, but I'll (probably) need that for the bonus levels (although I could make it work anyway). Still, I just need to experiment with it a bit and I'm sure I'll figure out how to code that. ...btw, just had a play on what I have so far, and it's still fun.

Very cool to hear the names of the opponents in Warrior, though I don't have a copy and gameplay footage is limited when it comes to higher levels.
Does the released game seem to follow the opponents mentioned by George here?
