Another topic that I was discussing with VectrexRoli, that made me start thinking. There are a few controllers like the Modded Atari Paddle, Overdrive or Starblast which do not have all the buttons (either directional or action) and make it difficult navigating through games which were not designed for its use. This is especially evident when using Multicarts or Flashcarts. This requires you to switch between a standard or custom controller and whatever controller that you prefer to use. In some instances, the quick change might affect gameplay itself since you might take damage even within the first second or two. The answer is very simple. Make a Y-cable or Y-box that allows you to keep both controller plugged up at the same time. This greatly decreases the time it takes to switch between the controllers since you no longer have to unplug and plug another controller up. This is also a very inexpensive solution and requires very minimum parts and skill. All you need is 1 female sub-D 9 pin connector, 2 male sub-D 9 Pin connectors and 18 pieces of wire run straight from pin to pin. Housing is optional.
