I used these with Arduinos, they were really nice.

You would probably have to connect that to the AY-3-8912 outputs and also cut those wires from the built-in amp.

Looking at the schematics, the easiest would be to tap at the J302 connector - I just don't know if by "there" the signal is already noisy or not.
