Super cool. It makes me want to learn how to program the Vectrex

hey loving the vecci is there anyway to rotate the current vector drawing through 90 degree steps or mirror in X or Y directions? glad to see you seem to have used my sfx player looking forward to future enhancements

Hm, being on holiday with no computer and only my cellphone available,... makes answering challenging...
a) while at the moment mirrowing is not implemented (yet) - I guess you might achieve a (limitted) similar effect by rotating one of the axis by 180degrees. Since looking thru a mirror is basically looking from the other side of the mirror a2) but if the question was can you "duplicate" the image along some axis, then the answer is NO
b) as for rotating by 90 degrees the answer is yes just enter 360 and 4 steps that should do it b2) or enter 90 and 1 step (hm, is it one step or the number of resulting vectorlists ? try it )
I' take requests for enhancements...

ok thanks for that. yes buttons to quickly reflect the current vector drawing would be good. also quick rotate would be nice.
however i am having new problem...
i am not sure what i am missing but after drawing and saving a vectorlist of 25 vectors i am unable to export it as code to test. all the different draw mode buttons are disabled.
can you clarify conditions that control when the buttons are enabled?
this even happens if i draw a new vectorlist with just 3 lines eg. a simple triangle.

oh do all the vectors have to be continuous and drawn using continue mode? is possible to move without draw in middle of a vectorlist?
sorry if i miss something

I am not sure what your problem is - but I am sure the answer is yes :-)! You switch between drawing and moving with the mode selection, three modes are available: - Mode: Set - Mode: Select point - Mode: Select vector I tried to explain them in the documentation. In mode "select point" you can (amongst other thing) move points without drawing In mode "select vector" you can (amongst other thing) move vectors without drawing If points or vectors are connected you can in mode "select point" unconnect the endpoints via a right mouse button popup over the point in question. (you can also connect/join points) Beware the popup menu actions differ if you have "continue" enabled or disabled. I tried to explain that in the documentation: Vecci DocumentationAs I said, I am not sure what your problem is, perhaps you might rephrase :-)... WaitI have read your post again and I think I know what your question is about :-)... You mean, while drawing in contiuous mode - can you switch "in between" the to be drawn vectors to use a zero pattern - so that the vector is a "MOVE" vector.... If that is the question, than (yes! - ) a twofold answer: a) you can (also while drawing) in the tab "line" switch the checkbox "has pattern" to "on", if you do that all "next" drawn vectors will be drawn using the given pattern. If the pattern is "0" than it is a move vector, if something else than a line (might be a patterned line though) b) you can change for all selected vectors the pattern and intensity using the "actions" in the "line" tab selecting (multi select also works) the vectors you want to be move vectors, you set the pattern to "0" (zero), check the checkbox "has pattern" and press the "set to selected" button. That way you can set them to be move vectors "later". Regards Malban

I just saw, that there was a previous post with another question...
My answer is: "I don't know". More specific - " I don't know what you did".
With my testings all lists that I can export and save, I also can export after loading the lists.
Please elaborate more on how you drew the lists to begin with, and/or include a save file.
My "elaboration": - On the TAB "vectorlist status" you can see (!) the status of your vectorlist - On that TAB there are also "short" explanations which criteria are necessary for enabling exports - In short these criteria are: + all vectors must be drawn in one "go" (the (not closed) polygon must be "ordered", all points (except start/end) must be joined + no vector is longer than 127 + if an export is chosen which requires "lines only" (no moves), than all vectors must be "lines"
-> therefor the most important status are: * vectors continuous * no length max >127
If those two criteria are met, than you should be able to find an export. Which of those two are "enabled" befor saving and are "disabled" after saving?
If that happens -> congratulations you have found a bug!

Would love for VIDE to incorporate link cable communication emulation between two instances of VIDE running on the same computer. Or two different systems via IP.

Hm.
I'll make you (or anyone else for the matter) a deal...
Since I have two left hands concerning hardware even of the simplest kind. If anyone builds me a working connection cable (I pay for the mats), I'll get two instances of vecxy to emulate the connection, and will build a driver (like one of Alex Herberts drivers for e.g. VecVox).
If anyone is interested, please PM me...

Hello, Berzerk arena running in Vide... It seems veclink V2 is working ok - although some cleaning up is still in order. For whatever reason, veclink V1 is still not working. I can't really figure out why, there is not THAT much difference in connecting some virtual cables... Regards - Malban

Again... This was driving me nuts... but I got it figured out... I still haven't got a cable though... On another note... Alex Herberts BerzerkArena is really great! I am very sorry that I "went undercover" the time he was around, he really did wonderful stuff in the vectrex world... Greetings and my respect to you... I have never been in contact with you - but I nonetheless miss you... Regards Malban
