Hi, I just saw the following kickstarter: I'm not sure how it is supposed to work (and a previous prototype made by the same team already failed a kickstarter campaign), but the 3D vector graphics remind me a lot of the Vectrex, so I thought this might be the place to talk about it !

I neither don't understand how they modify the albedo of air... It would be nice to know which laser galvo they are using.

This is so cool. I like the compact console-like design of it and I kind of prefer the small-box environment to the huge room sized laser projections I've seen pictures of. Here is another volumetric display I just found, not exactly vector but it looks further along: www.voxiebox.com/what/voxon.co.. For gaming I think the small size and full three dimensionality of these displays would lend themselves to a much different type of gaming than the cinematic and simulation oriented spaces which dominate contemporary games. Rather than exploring spaces you would probably more often be manipulating objects. .. It could lend itself to more classic arcade type action, except of course with new 3D aspects.

Cool but I'll wait until it becomes a little more affordable.
