Hello Vector Forum Chums I'm trying to start some Vectrex coding and was looking to use ParaJVE on OSX. I have a new MacBook Pro running High Sierra 10.13.1 Unfortunately, when I run it I get the below dialogue. imgur.com/a/cyW3rClicking through the main window comes up with no game running and if I try to load something I get a softlock; the beachball spins forever and only force quitting can close the app. Has anyone else had this issue and, fingers crossed, have a workaround? Any help gratefully received Great forum BTW, learnt a lot reading over the last month or so <3 Vexctrex

I started getting that on my W7 laptop, I ended up having to click the BAT file to load the emulator instead. Now that could be tricky on Mac OS but you could always have a look in that to see what's being called and set up similar in Mac OS.

Hey Mat The Mac is a little different in that you have a stub EXE loader for java. I've tried running the jar directly but hitting the same problem. Are you getting exactly the same error dialogue? I was thinking this might be an OSX sandboxing issue but if you're having the same problem on windows it's may be to do with Java version. What version of Java are you running?

Yeah, I suspect it's due to the version of Java, it might only really want 1.7, and I think I've got 1.8 on the W7 (and definitely have 1.8 here on my Macbook).
