These were posted about on the Vectrex Fans Unite group in FB and they look awesome! Oliver Radford is making them and selling them right now. If you would like one then the price is £95 + postage. You'd need to reach him in the group if you're interested: Vector Fans Unite Group

They are fantastic controllers. So comfortable to use and the buttons and stick feel amazing. I have two of them and they are superior to original controllers, the blackout controller, and genesis controllers. That's all I have tried to compare them to. I 100 percent highly recommend them.

Mine just arrived, so I've not tested it yet, but from holding it in my hands I can tell these are far better than the original controller. Can't wait to test it out.

Got 2 pieces today. Will write Oliver a separate mail, but my first impressions:
Plus: + Very good quality. + Very nice / professional design. + Joystick and Buttons respond fast/quick. (But contact travel of the buttons is a little bit longer as of the original controller, but it's no problem.) + Very exact analogue stick. + Good (best?) alternative to the original controller. + If it's important for somebody: Cable of the controller is long.
Medium / Neutral: 0 Analogue stick is big compared to original controller. I have big hands, so it is no problem, but for some players it could be too big. But that's a matter of opinion. Maybe for other players the original Vectrex Jostick is too small :-) 0 Button arrangement needs getting used to, especially if all 4 buttons are used by a game. But this is also a matter of opinion, I would prefer to have the 4 buttons in a horizontal row, but as I said: Matter of taste.
Minus: - Didn't found a "minus" during the first hour of playing Vectrex with the Rad Controller... (Hope the micro switches of the buttons and mechanic of analogue stick is durable a long time - but it looks / feels so.)
THANKS OLIVER for this great hardware. (Will send you soon a separate mail.)

Nice Review. That’s the same way I feel about the 2 I purchased. The analog stick is a little bit tall for me. Of course I have smaller hands. It’s not unwieldy, just a bit large.

Does the larger scale stick make it easier to play Hyperchase?

Oh, that will be difficult for me to explain with my English knowledge... I tested now Hyper Chase a little bit with the RadPad.
- First I had to accustom myself the new button layout. Accelerate with button 4 and shifting into next gear with button 1 is not so comfortable at the beginning, but after a while no problem anymore. (I played Vectrex over 35 years with the original controller...)
- Yes, I have the feeling, the larger scale stick makes Hyperchase a little bit easier. But not very much. If you have big problems with Hyperchase and with the original controller, it is a good question, if you can play it better with the RadPad...
But what I always do when I play Hyperchase: I constantly press the stick forward (up) during the hole game, even if it is not necessary. But when I press the stick up constantly, it is much easier to allot (or "dose") the left / right movements of the stick. I'm not sure, if I described this correctly / understandable?
Anyway, Hyperchase is not so easy at all, if I play just for fun, I always play in the 2 player mode and Game 2. (Longer / different track and more lifes than only 1 player...)
Edit: Even if I'm a "good" Hyperchase player, I still don't know, if there is an end of the track in game 2... I know, there is a second tunnel on track 2, but I never got it to the end... Or will it repeat anytime a part of the track? A cheat version with endless lifes would be nice - or a player that reached the end if there is one at game 2 ??

After testing the controller and stick a lot today I can say I like it much more than the original. I tested Hyperchase and the Xmas 2014 and 2015 Cart. They all were much more playable and easier to control I thought. It’s a little longer throw for the movement. But it doesn’t feel sluggish. It just feels more accurate, which is great!
