That's cool! Like the original joystick/directional part of the overlay, along with the spider at bottom right.

That looks nice man. Good job.
Something about grids I always really like.
Do you use Illustrator for your vector drafting? Or something else? ... Can you recommend any FREE vector drafting software, for Mac or PC?
I've tried to mess around with a couple, in an attempt to lay out some original overlays, but always got overwhelmed and set it aside.

I used AI in college but couldn't justify the expense esp with a Vectrex habit to feed. I found Inkscape which is free and have been using it to do my projects for the last month. Honestly, it's very close in functions.
I intend to work a few more things out on it. Im pretty sure the overlay is too obtrusive as it is. I intend to design cover art for all the Fury games as well as a few other games.

More goodness! I like how Bedlam looks in the big box.

The overlay in Bedlam is not a vector image, just a file I pulled off the internet. Its not bad but I might go back and change it out. I've done most of the original logos in Inkscape now. I could do box art for almost any Vectrex game including Euro games. Bedlam was a nice change because its not standard lettering. Star Trek was a challenge with its gradient but the one I'm most proud of. Still working on Fury logos and box inserts.

Looks useful for the original GCE games because those boxes were completely non-functional, (in my opinion at least). They are easily damaged, difficult to open and close and not at all good for storing games in if you actually intend to play with them frequently.
... I think it would be very useful to have a custom cardboard insert to hold the games in place inside the cases. All of my Dondzila games shake around inside the box, in spite of the little tabs he has glued in there.
... Would also be cool if the boxes were big enough to house the overlay as well. Maybe old Betamax cases are big enough and available somewhere?
... I like the combination of Artmaster and Animaction in one box.
EDIT: Nevermind on Beta. I didn't realize those tapes were actually smaller, not bigger. I'm sure I have seen larger video tapes somewhere in the past, but they must have been some special and obscure studio format.

Glipitude, I think what you were thinking about were the large plastic VCS cases that were usually used for Disney movies and certain other movies. Those are large enough to fit the overlays.

Perhaps you (gliptitude) have the cases of Vectrexians and Vector Pilot in mind. These are really large and overlays can be included easily.
