I can't recall too many gaming dreams from back in the day (since the 80s were over 20 years ago!) except for one in particular.
What the deal was, I was in this building not far from here. In real life it was a maintenance building for the local school system (still could be for all I know). However, in the dream it was a big-assed video game store. I had bought two Atari 2600 games already (I don't know what they were but I recall carrying them around) and I was just walking around checking out stuff. They had on display the 2600 laserdisc add-on running Firefox (yeah, sure!)
I got reminded of this due to a dream I had last night, as I was working at some office (dunno what the company was). I've heard of this before in real life, but it's pretty rare to have a company that isn't entertainment-related to have a game room, but this one sure did. Most of the arcade cabs had generic marquees and the like rather than the original artwork, but a lot of stuff was for sale though, including consoles.
I was looking at an unopened package of 2600 tapes. The Supercharger (in real life) was like a big overgrown cartridge that had a wire running out of it to attach to a tape jack, which the Supercharger games came on tape and worked way the hell better (and took way less longer to load) than the tape games on computers. These were just boxes of tapes that had no add-on, which I assume had a jack or something included, but I didn't want to dig deep enough to look since the tapes were still sealed up. They were still very bright-colored and new due to not being used ever, although I'm sure they weren't licensed, as one that I looked at said something (insert game name) through Blueprint, indicating what games were on that one tape. Each box had many tapes inside and probably the majority of all 2600 games ever made on them. Pretty interesting.
Anyone else have any video game dreams to share?
