I don't know if anyone is interested or not, but I'm starting a VEC-WARS 2 game, based on my (almost finished, but now old, and previously abandoned) VEC-WARS game: See -> garrysgamingblog.blogspot.co.uk/p/programming-projects.html Much to my surprise I recently found out that this had gathered a bit of a niche following, and I was asked to finish it - which I am currently working on. This was when I started thinking that it could be improved with a re-make. So I'd be interested in seeing what people think works and doesn't work from the original, and what you would like to see added. Hopefully the enemies movement will be based on (game of life type) cellular automation and flock physics techniques. Although these routeans are in very early development at this time. Don't hold your breath for anything remotely playable any time soon... Please remember that this is a real project that I ideally want to make into a game worthy of release on it's own cartridge (along with the, polished, original obviously), so nothing too starry-eyed. But all suggestions will be read and considered. Thank you for your support.

I never got around to trying the original Vec Wars, so I'll have to do that. But I'm definitely interested in more

I'm waiting for Atic Atac I did make a start, a while ago. I had a basic map of rooms and exits held in a 2D array. Which was used to draw a square room with the relevant doors. I didn't get around to putting a character in there though, you just pushed the joystick in the right direction to enter another room if there was an appropriate door. I think the test code is on an old laptop. I didn't upload it.

The only critiques I could make of Vec Wars are the unfinished aspects, and the bugs, which you probably already know about. No sound is the biggest deficit. Some visual indication of when you've been hit would be nice. The player score jaggles around on my screen, but that might be my uncalibrated vec. Other than that, it looks quite promising!
