Quite pricy considering that the stick is out of an R/C remote...

That may have started for $1 but it certainly sold for plenty more!

I think all of George's controllers have originally ended at over 100. Some as high as 300. I've looked at RC parts but haven't been able to match what he uses. Havent gotten back to modifying a Kraft/IBM/PC analog controller for Vectrex. I also have an Analog Arcade Stick that I'm going to try.

That may have started for $1 but it certainly sold for plenty more! Noted there were bidding restrictions for this item. Interesting that the seller may be restriction people from wanting to spend more.

The components are pretty cheap, so I'd expect more.

That controller looks like the Mark Shaker Arcade Stick. That store obtained a lot of older homebrews, so it may very well be for the Vectrex.
I think the Equinox uses a hobby box like most of the other Fury controllers. They're cheap and plentiful. The one used for the Overdrive and Starblast Micro Controllers only cost 4 bucks with shipping. The large ones I use are only 8 bucks and carried at most Radio Shack locations.
