Was this Christmas in the south when that pic was taken? (It looks rather warm, with everyone in shorts...) I didn't take a pic of mine when I got it. Nice thread idea though

Michigan are you still there and if so any chance you can take a picture of your state bird the Mosquito? I haven't been up there for a while now and kinda miss seeing those big things.

^Why would you miss those?! Well I don't have a pic of when I got my 'trex, but I just noticed I filled out the date of purchase on my registration card...holy crap! And part of it's MISSING, meaning I had sent in the form to get my Passport/Vectrex newsletter!! I don't even recall that. Damn, too bad, I could have been one of the very, very few people to have one of those nowadays I guess it was just too late in the lifespan (or not) in order to have gotten one.

7/30/84 - the cover of the Passport says "Summer 1984" on it, so there's a good chance you're right...just a little late.
I love this still - I have a couple items in my collection from original owners that I like to keep around for the history. One big collection I bought (most of my boxed games came from it) had a homemade checklist of games that included 'Batter Up', and I love my overlay sleeve with a bunch of high scores written all over it.

(sobs ) One big collection I bought (most of my boxed games came from it) had a homemade checklist of games that included 'Batter Up', Guess they were looking forward to that one, but didn't have something to "officially" check it off though I love my overlay sleeve with a bunch of high scores written all over it. That's cool...I don't like having things written on my stuff! Oh well.

That's cool...I don't like having things written on my stuff! Oh well. Nor do I, usually. There's a select few things I don't mind, like those high scores, the 'I <3 Nintendo' on the styrofoam of my NES Action Set - or my autographed games...

David Crane (programmer) Pitfall 2600, Garry Kitchen (programmer) Keystone Kapers 2600, Bill Carlton (world record holder) Missile Command 2600 and my favorite: Ed Fries (programmer) Halo 2600 - that one is personalized!

Hey, that's cool indeed. I'm not much for knowing who programmers are, much less wanting autographs, but for Activision/2600 stuff I'd make an exception for that
