For years now I use the VecMulti to play arbitrary binaries - e.g. binaries of the yearly Vectrex Academy. Thank you, Richard Hutchinson for this great piece of hardware!
Below please find three tipps for the VecMulti:
How to remove micro SD card Most people know how to handle micro SD cards, some might not. To remove the micro SD card from the VecMulti you have to softly press(!) the micro SD card till you hear a click. Then release the micro SD card - it will be pushed out of the VecMulti by a spring.
Easier access to Menumaker After uploading new games onto the micro SD card, you have to start "menumaker.exe" to generate a new set of menu files. Often, menumaker.exe is buried amongst other files and you'll have to search till you find it. To improve this, simply add an underscore as prefix, i.e. rename "menumaker.exe" to "_menumaker.exe". From then on, you'll have "_menumaker.exe" right below folders.
Quick access to specific binaries Menumaker uses alphabetical sort order of binaries which means that on the Vectrex you'll have to navigate to the appropriate page till you'll find your binary. It's four games per page so this can mean a lot of navigation. You can bring your additional binaries to the top by adding an underscore as prefix (pretty much like in the previous tipp). Then, you'll find your binary on the very first page on the Vectrex.
