Postage to UK is coming up as £40 !!! And that's without it being part of the Global Shipping Program which is always expensive but guarantees there will be no import duty to pay.

Yes, because Chris is using the most expensive shipping option for international shipping (although that does cater for proper insurance and tracking).

Just taking 5 from my world dominance/laser guided shark program...
You could fart about with contacting the seller. You could fart about with splitting the paypal payments. Call it a gift. Or not a gift... whatever.
For an item of that rarity and value surely 40 quid is not the end of the world for tracked/insured/signature required peace of mind?
If I was in the market for an item like that (I'm not), then the postage is a minor consideration and it wouldn't put me off. If I wanted it that much.
Anyway. Back to my work.

Sorry, wasn't meant to come across as a criticism .... I know I can get in touch with Chris to discuss purchases so it really was just a comment on the cost of decent postage these days and after all that the UK Border Agency never miss a chance these days to slap VAT onto an old 2nd hand item just because it has a collector's value.
And quids = pounds as stated... cor blimey governor, Mary Poppins, strike a light guv.
Happy Christmas.

You're a braver man than me, I won't ship to Italy, Russia or South America unless it was tracked/insured up to the eyeballs, or I knew the person in question.

Well that went for about what I was expecting... all the Tumber games usually go for about $80-100 currently.
