I picked one of these up today and I have to say I'm not impressed with the quality of the product. The audio suffers from high frequency interference and the LCD has a problem with color saturation. I tried to capture it on video but YouTube's encoding kind of masks the problem.
I'm going to see if I can exchange it to see if it's just a bad unit.
The one cool thing about this unit is it being able to play ROMS off an SD card.

I just ordered one of these and I'm picking it up tomorrow. We'll see how my unit works.

Looks like a bad unit to me if you look at Classic Game Room's review of it:
Mark specifically talks about how good the screen looks and it sounds good as well (Asteroids sounds pretty spot on).

Great to have an SD card slot for ROMs and portability is great too. I'd like to see more Atari-like controls though. Or maybe just controller ports to use your own, (I think I remember this portable works on a TV too, so that wouldn't be a crazy feature to include).
It seems like most people who got one of these really like it and I agree kokovec may have gotten a defective unit.

There's a zip file on Atari Age that has all the games that are compatible with the system. TONS of games you can add by SD card.

So I brought mine back and got another one. The new one works really well. The screen is not that great in my opinion as it has a very narrow viewing angle and gives me eye strain after a while. Maybe my eyes are just getting old.
Other than that it plays well. I'm going to have to get the AV cable to try it out on an CRT.

Good to hear except for the eye strain

Good to hear kokovec. It's so cool that these work on TV too. With a few more features and a retro-re-styling (like the other models) this would be the be-all-end-all Flashback console. .. I suppose that would push it past the viable price point though

I ordered the AV cable a couple of weeks back so hopefully I get it soon. I'm starting to warm up to the FB Portable now that I've had some time to play with it. They did a good job with it.
