Is there any info on these games? I've seen them listed on various sites, but not where to purchase them or even screenshots.
Omega Chase Paratroopers Tsunami/VIX Koko's Retribution
I'm particularly interested in Omega Chase/Omega Chase Deluxe. Is it any good? I'd love to see a video of it.
I heard that John D. made Paratroopers, but it's not on his site. Is it a hidden or incomplete game?
Are any of these games available on a cart. I read that John D. makes custom carts, so I'm wondering if any of these are worth it. Thanks!

Is there any info on these games? I've seen them listed on various sites, but not where to purchase them or even screenshots. I think all of them have screenshots at the Vectrex database. I'm particularly interested in Omega Chase/Omega Chase Deluxe. Is it any good? I'd love to see a video of it. I don't think there IS a video on YouTube or elsewhere for it, but I think I've got the ROM for it; let me know and I'll check on it for sure and I can e-mail it to you if so if you have a Vectrex emulator. I heard that John D. made Paratroopers, but it's not on his site. Is it a hidden or incomplete game? I don't know if it's complete or not, but yes, it's hidden on Gravitrex Plus. Are any of these games available on a cart. I read that John D. makes custom carts, so I'm wondering if any of these are worth it. Thanks! He might, you can e-mail him and ask. I'm thinking no though with the Tumber stuff, since I asked Mark Shaker (when he was doing those carts but now Dondzila does them) and he couldn't find Tumber before he disappeared so he could reproduce Tsunami/VIX. Still might be the same deal nowadays too, or else they'd be listed on Dondzila's site (I assume, at least). Here's the scoop on the others: Omega Chase and Tsunami/VIX--unfortunately these were limited edition, and their author of Christopher Tumber has been MIA online and in real life for many years now. Koko's Retribution--Yars' Revenge clone, I'll do a link for it later. It's a ROM file only, not on a cart.

Omega Chase - A deluxe edition of this game was produced, the first 50 were numbered, and an untold number were sold after that. It was one of the first Vectrex homebrews, so not many are available today. However, there is a Omega Chase ROM freely available on the net. Grab a VecMulti or use ParaJVE and check out what you're missing! I got lucky with a reasonable BIN about a year ago for an unnumbered copy. Paratroopers - Indeed a hidden game on the Gravitrex Plus cartridge. Tsunami/VIX - One just sold on eBay not too long ago, and I kicked myself for not having the funds ready. Pretty hard to get, for the same reason Omega Chase is. Koko's Retribution - An unfinished demo, indeed a Yar's Revenge clone. Here is the link: kokosplace.50webs.com/Vectrex/vectrex.htmlThe guy is also currently involved in some Vectrex Hardware projects, take a look: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6009wwKVDlA&context=C3321979ADOEgsToPDskKvMI1EWKej9JrA8ywGylzi

Thanks for all of the great info! So, are Omega Chase and Tsunami/VIX any good? Are they worth tracking down in cart form, other than for collector's purposes?

Yeah, there were pics of that like a year ago or something. 2) www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhLRQg-mG2c This video, in which a guy claims to have taken #2 worldwide in Vectrex Pole Position. Unfortunately for him, I have been attempting to submit video to Twin Galaxies for over a year now for a score of 77,500. I still have the mpeg, and I also did 77,200 in public at the Commodore Computer Club in Vancouver, Washington. Too bad Twin Galaxies is so slow in taking care of that. And on a side note, those Commodore cupcakes looked pretty good ;D Thanks for all of the great info! You're welcome! BTW, I've got Tsunami/VIX as well if you're interested, but I'm not sure which versions I have (I'll explain that next...). So, are Omega Chase and Tsunami/VIX any good? Are they worth tracking down in cart form, other than for collector's purposes? I assume they are, the latter of which could be just to have, since the first one is a Tempest clone. Not sure how close it plays to the original but it's got all 16 levels, since the last time I ran it on an emulator the graphics were screwed up, as the indicators for how many enemies were left in some levels appeared like in the middle of the screen or something. There's also a "Tsunami trainer" ROM where you're in a level for only several seconds before it automatically warps you to the next one, or something odd; if that's not it I can't remember exactly how it worked. I don't have hundreds of ROMs or anything but I've got an older version of the ParaJVE emulator and it just quit working one day, so I downloaded the most current version and I've still yet to sort out deleting what duplicate ROMs and all I have. I don't have that much left to do but I just haven't done it yet (I just worked on that one night last week actually), so I haven't tested Tsunami to see if the graphics problem was fixed or not (like how that was fixed with Y*A*S*I a while back). Omega Chase, on the other hand, does seem pretty fun. I liked the arcade game of Omega Race ok but it wasn't anything as magnificent as Major Havoc or Tempest to me. However, I found this version to be more fun for some reason. Did the center shape playfield change in the arcade original? I found after a few levels on here that's what happened, which I thought was cool. Also (and as promised earlier), here's where you can check out Koko's Retribution (as well as the Donkey Kong clone of Becky's Message): kokosplace.50webs.com/Vectrex/vectrex.html
