Today, I've received the following e-mail of Polyplay: Hello, unfortunately, after the completion of Hera Primera, it turned out that the modules do not work on all revisions of the Vectrex. The game only runs on older models with serial numbers 3XXXXXX. Unfortunately, the game does not work on models with serial numbers 31XXXXXXX or 4XXXXXX. I have therefore stopped sending the games. I am currently working on a solution. I have to open all the sealed game boxes again, take the modules apart and fix the circuit boards. As I am doing this on my own, it will unfortunately take some time. As soon as I have finished reworking all the modules, shipping will continue. I think it will continue at the beginning of June. All those who have already received their Hera Primera will receive a replacement board for exchange.
Best regards Sebastian
I think it's very honourable that Sebastian even intends to send out cartridges to all those people who have received a copy of Hera Primera - regardless whether the bug really shows up or not. Since I have a 3xxxxxx Vectrex in my collection, I see no real need to send me another circuit board. Therefore, I've just contacted Sebastian and asked him whether I could restraint from receiving and extra circuit board. I'll post here once I have received Sebastians reply. It would be very interesting and helpful for other developers to know what exactly the technological differences between the various console models are that cause certain PCBs and cartridges not to work. And also if this is hardware-related only, or if the different BIOS versions also play a role here.

I think Brett Walach had a deep dive on the Facebook group, it's something to do with the no-buzz model not having the !cart line going to the cartridge port.
The Hera Primera cart has a connection to !cart, so on the no-buzz model, the signal is floating.
Or something like that.
The fix is to cut a trace and solder on a wire.

From a creator/developer/distributor's point of view... while it may work for you now, if and when you go to sell it in the future it might not work for someone else. Pretty slim chance, but still I can see why they want to fix it. It also repairs their reputation of delivering great products, since they are offering this without customers having to opt-in. That said, they may very well choose to accept your offer though ;-) I think Brett Walach had a deep dive on the Facebook group, it's something to do with the no-buzz model not having the !cart line going to the cartridge port. That's correct ;-) There can be other timing related issues with these units, but this doesn't appear to be a problem with Hera Primera so far...
