This isn't anything new, but I only just now listened to the Jay Smith interview ("father of the Vectrex") from the Retro Roundup podcast show of March 29, 2011, from the CGE 2010 show. He's on from the 1 hour, 28 minute mark of the show for 45 minutes, covering the Microvision, Vectrex, and other stuff. A GREAT question was brought up about bringing some of the obvious Atari vector games to the system. Jay said back then Atari wasn't licensing much of it's stuff out (and why not? They only had several game systems, arcade and computers to do it for them!), which they probably just thought of the Vectrex doing their stuff would be them going "damn competitors" (or "damn competition", I forget which he said...one of the two! ;D ). He also said that, with all the stuff he's done in regards to games, toys and such, the Vectrex was one of “favorites of all time”. Awwww... A pretty good listen, it can be downloaded on this page.
