vectorgaming.proboards.com/thread/2073/rule-sales?Very recently a Star Sling Turbo Edition was sold at ebay for 83 USD. The only special about this auctioned item was the clear case; the Turbo Edition can be bought from Madtronix for 19 EUR (~23 USD). I find such auctions quite annoying because money is made out of the ignorance of people. I'd call this moneymaking. The buyer might realize later that he/she has purchased something that isn't very special and worth much less because he/she could purchase directly for an even cheaper price. The above auction was advertised here in the Vectorgaming forum, see here. I'd suggest to introduce a rule for anyone advertising an auction or offering and item here in the Vectorgaming forum: If the offered item or parts of it can be bought from the manufacturer / developer / distributor directly the seller must write this in his/her post. Sellers might not know and in this case other VGF members are allowed to add this information in commenting posts. This rule would ensure that people are aware of what they buy. What do you think about such a rule? Other opinions?

Although to note, if you did order it from John now, the board is slightly different, and you wouldn't get the laminated instruction sheet afaik, that was from a time way in the past when he first started selling it.

Thank you for editing your original post and adding various links after your auction has ended, VECTREXER . It's not as if I obscured I any source of the item in ht listing. All components are plainly, and clearly, described at the original time and in the original edit of the listing' post. That was done specifically to enable that certain person who desired to search for the current source to get off their dead one and go search for them (board, shell, original author). The web links to the VGF sale post were added later for that other certain horse who was led to trough but still refused to drink. Sometimes you have to shove the horse head into the trough to get them to drink. Edit from admin There's no need to double post on this. The rest of your post is still intact on the other thread. Edit from vectrexer I want to offer the readers of either thread the opportunity the gist without the need to visit both. |
