In about three weeks time, the 8th Vector War will take place. Original GCE / MB titles will be played and quite a number of homebrew games are also included. A hurdle for the players and participants is the availability of games. E.g. games like VeCaves or Robot Arena are very rare and very hard to find and available to few people only. For this reason I don't include too rare games in the Vector War.
If you are a game author and read this: Physcial releases are cool, but perhaps you can provide a free binary or a special version (CompEdition) that has a clear copyright and usage hint and/or an annoying waiting time of 60 seconds before the game starts (for example). In addition or alternatively, the download link might not be public but be provided to people that apply for it.
With such CompEditions your developed game could become part of tournaments like the Vector War. The game list of this year's Vector War is pretty fixed, already. But there will be more Vector Wars in the coming year. Please contact me if you want your game played in a tournament like the Vector War and you think about creating a CompEdition.

Good points, but I wouldn't hold one's breath.
VeCaves-What a game!

I recall the cool Karl Quappe Vector War VII version binary that was available to d/l for last year's Vector War event. That was a cool game and really shows off what the Vectrex can do in the hands of a talented developer/publisher indeed. It plays like a charm on the VecMulti flash cart setup. I'd like to see a future CompEdition version of Bloxrs -- that'd be ace in my book.
