I recall seeing a past eBay auction for an unreleased Vectrex 3D Imager game by the name of 3D Pole Position some time back. Is it the full game of Pole Position but rendered in 3D (or just simply the main title and nothing else other than just that)?
I finally was able to try out the cool 3D Lord of the Robots title with my Madtronix produced 3D Imager glasses repro yesterday -- couldn't get it to boot up on previous attempts -- makes me wonder if some the classic Vectrex games and homebrew titles would benefit from a 3D upgrade (or at the very least, a color vector upgrade with the red, green & blue 3D wheel setup). I've noticed that by using color wheel #2 for use with 3D Crazy Coaster & 3D Narrowscape, it's better suited for use with the 3D Lord of the Robots title (rather than using color wheel #1 for use with 3D Mine Storm).
I recall that there was a cool adjustment utility app to try out with a 3D Imager glasses setup but forget what it's called. I'd like to d/l please to try it out again. Thank you in advance.
It'd sure be nice to play Malban's Release Vectrex port in 3D with a 3D Imager glasses setup, the cool kaleidoscope vector graphical effect would sure look great to see in color and in 3D as well.
And on a side related note, is it possible to have VectorMame run on a Vectrex32 cart and have some of the classic Atari, Exidy and Cinematronic vector arcade titles run through this particular setup?

I tried a binary I found of the supposed Pole Position 3D for the Vectrex but it really wasn't. It was just the regular game. I hope the real thing is out there somewhere because I'd love to try it myself!

I think you are mistaken. I monitor Vectrex listings Worldwide and haven't see a 3D Pole Position prototype. It would have been a big deal in our community. The last unreleased prototype (Mail Plane) had somewhat of a crowdfund to buy and dump it for the community.
No prototype for 3D Pole Position has emerged as of yet. Someone here mentioned owning one but never responded to questions about it.
The file on some multicarts is just a title hack of the 2D Pole Position.

Vectrex32 Smartcart is a programming tool that exclusively used BASIC. I don't think Vector MAME is in it capabilities. There are quite a lot of projects in the works that have Vector MAME in mind. Vecfever already supports several games. Pi-Trex is making progress and there are at least 2 other items with varying availability and progress. All of them will require patience.
Release is probably not a game that will ever get 3D capabilities. 3D games are extremely limiting. As I understand it, objects are required to be drawn multiple time in order to create the illusion. This has created a lot of reluctance to designing any games for the Imager. Jim Watts' Terror Tube is one of the only games that is currently being worked on that I know of.

I hope the real thing is out there somewhere because I'd love to try it myself! Only an interim early proto revision. No real work completed. Just the title change AFAIK. Have not looked at binary to see if there was any interim worked performed other than the title.
