I recently read an article wondering if the US is ready for a $500.00 gaming console. Then I see this video where, back in 1977, the 2600 would cost over $800 in 2019 currency. I'm looking at replacing my 7 year old gaming PC which will probably cost me close to $5K if I want a decent rig. Think about all the money you spent over the years on new video games and now most of us on here spend even more on collecting old ones.
Yes I thought it was neat. I think it is remarkable how Atari grew and that it is still #5 on that video in 2019. Clearly, Sony and Nintendo have really eaten the market but it is remarkable that Atari still shows up so many years later.
