I'd say with the lengthy write-up in the YouTube description it's legit. And as he said in the write-up, I'd never heard of it either.

Well, that looks interesting. Quite the write up for it on YouTube.

Its been thoroughly discussed on Facebook. The owner is dumping the BIN so we'll get to see the data and if it sheds more light.

I just wonder what the final product would've been, what you're shooting at and the like. Right now it just seems to be placeholder sticks.

Curious: as what type of hardware was this found/discovered? A cartridge? A rom chip? An eprom PCB? Is there a picture of it?

An eprom PCB? Is there a picture of it? PCB and yes, which you can see at the top of VectrexMad!'s site currently.

I do recall that Atari did release the classic color vector-based Star Wars arcade game in the American arcades back in 1983 costing a mere quarter per credit back in the day. So it'd befitting that this Vectrex prototype game of "A crush of Luicfer" would have a 1983 copyright date (unless it was truly done back in 1982). I like how smooth the vector wireframe floor grid scrolls along.
