Yesterday, I found this auction and couldn't let it go: www.ebay.com/itm/290716086063?ssPageName=STRK...I instantly clicked the BIN, after I read they dealt in Vintage clothing and that this shirt was 'used'. However, this is my only clue that this shirt is actually "from the day". Does anyone remember products like this from the day? I recall a Scramble shirt that someone eBayed a few months ago that seemed pretty well worn, but I wasn't willing to risk it. With Star Castle though (my favorite Vectrex game, and the game that really drove me to buy one in the first place) - I can justify a $25 risk, even if I do find a 2004 copywrite somewhere. I just want to know if anyone remembers stuff like this? (Like the Huffy Space Invaders Bike?)

I just want to know if anyone remembers stuff like this? (Like the Huffy Space Invaders Bike?) Say what?! Hadn't heard of that one. No, I never saw anything like this before, but then I didn't see much coin-op merchandise anyway: a few Atari pins and all (Missile Command), a Qix poster, saw a Vanguard t-shirt once (although that could've been in regards to the company, not the game), etc...a few things here and there. Bad ass looking shirt though, that's great!

Well obviously there was a lot of Pac-Man merchandise back in the day but I don't recall there being many t-shirts other than the Atari tees that were already mentioned.
The origin of this t-shirt has my curiosity. When you get the t-shirt could you post what it says on the tag?

Thanks!
I wonder if that was licensed? It says "Invader" rather than being plural...

I have seen this shirt on Ebay before (at least one like it). I don't think that is a vintage Star Castle shirt from the 80s.. I kind of doubt there even was such a thing back then. That shirt could have been made in the latter 90s or post 2000. The Energy Cannon is drawn incorrectly and there are 6 "homing-spark" mines instead of 3. The coolest looking Cinematronics game shirt I have seen was for the game Rip Off. Worn by Tim Skelly when he posed above and behind a Rip Off machine, this past February, for a photo for Time Magazine's "Founding Fathers of Video Games" photo essay. You can't see all of the shirt but it has the Rip Off "tank" flyer artwork on it. Colors match the arcade machine, just a really cool photo, and I love the look on Skelly's face lol. lightbox.time.com/2012/02/02/the-founding-fathers-of-video-games/#6

Update! From what I know, the bike was made by Huffy, and I don't think they would risk not licensing it. I could be wrong. That Rip-Off T-Shirt is awesome - Tim Skelly can have it though, he deserves it I guess Now, about my purchase, I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that it's definitely a modern remake - there's no way this thing is from the 80s - the tag isn't right, the smell isn't right, and its completely dust/lint-free. The good news is that it fits me perfectly, and I don't have to treat it like a collectable! I'm wearing it as I type this! So, I don't totally regret my purchase

Based on the seller's other auctions, I think it might be real / from the day. Am I the only one who thinks this?

Sorry, I am quite sure this shirt (like celtroniclabs said) is not from the day. I see reprints of classic logo t-shirts all the time, and this is definitely one of those.

I have vector versions of almost every logo for the vectrex library. We could have tshirts made of any game we wanted.
