Hi!
For those interested. Telengard, the old "DnD" like was ported to Vectrex.
All "C" (and some asm) sources are freely availble. The binaries in different versions also (see readme).
Cheers Malban

Though a bit late, I still want to say thanks to you for doing this. I finally found my eprom burner in all those boxes and now have the possibility to try Telengard on a real Vectrex

I managed to find some time to watch the Down The Rabbit Hole YouTube video of Telengard and have a quick look at the code on the GitHub repo.
Whilst it's not my kind of game, though I liked Scott Adams early adventures on the Vic-20, the Telengard implementation story and result is very interesting.
Regarding muted/no feedback... I guess most people are more interested in the buzz and story of the journey, and not so much the destination i.e. a naked binary? That said, if you put it on a cart in a box and sold it, people would probably buy it and play it (at least once).
And "most people" are not "all people", I appreciate what you've created and the dev, it's cool!

Hi Malban, @malban
After my previous post this game encouraged me to finally sort out a pitrex and my gosh was it worth it!!! Thank you
I have had an interest in Apple II for years and played this and Akalabeth too many times always being impressed by what it must have been like way back then without the technical enhancements we are lucky to have today
So to get both of these loaded to my pitrex was essential. What you (and Pix) have accomplished is sublime and superb representatives of games that are very unique, in depth and different
I thought CnP did a great job with the adventure stuff on Quartz's Quest (which I loved) but you have taken that to the next level
Telengard runs great on pitrex and Vectrex very smooth and great to play (albeit I have a lot to learn)
I know time is precious but I genuinely feel this needs a cart release so others can experience it for themselves as it is unlike anything else Vectrex users have (and likely ever will) experience from anyone other than yourself
I appreciate you sharing the source. I've started to dabble in VIDE which like everything you do is stunning and hopefully one day I have invested enough time to be able to just draw a line or two on the screen
Anyway thanks again for everything you have done and are doing. The world of Vectrex is a far better place
Darren

I played it last night for the first time. It is very nice and appreciated. I'm going to put it and Aklabeth on cart when I get a chance. The difficulty reminded me of Mordor: The Depths of Dejenol. It is one of my favorite RPGs that I go back to every year or so. www.decklinsdemise.com/mordor.htm

I love " Mordor: The Depths of Dejenol"... I played it a lot - have the original version + handbook right here. (Hehe - I have special virtual Machines with Win98 on them for this!) Also the successor "DEMISE: Rise of the Ku'Tan" - which I played even more - also as multiplayer. I think updates and expensions are being made by Decklin to this very day!

I purchased Mordor in box a few years ago. What does the original version look like? I play it on an old Win98/DOS computer (midi sounds great through my soundcard). I should probably set it up on my main PC so I can play it easier when the mood strikes.
I have not played Demise, or maybe tried it for a few minutes a while back. I'll have to give it a proper try.

Nice! If I wasn't so busy I would build out a microcontroller (or FPGA) based NVSRAM cart that may take away some of the limitations and add a bunch of memory for such games.
