Pretty cool and noble, although there is one or two errors though. ... Thank you for your feedback, Darryl. I've corrected the above list - Darrin was listed twice - one time with one "R", only. But in your data I think everything is correct: You played in Vector Wars 4 to 9 which makes a total of 6 Vector Wars. This year I completely forgot until now: Thank you very much, Darryl, for your support in the background and hints during Vector War XIII and providing your VG forum for the Vector War. Score submission could be automated using a shiny website but this old school style of submitting scores and the opportunity to experience other players via forum posts fits to the Vectrex, I think. Looks like I'm top tier at participating Indeed, Justin, you're one of the many veterans and I remember well my daughter desperately trying to say your nick for the first time many years ago. Thank you for your faithfulness. Wasn't sure how many years I've participated since I did some of the old format Vector Wars but I knew it was many of them for the last several years. Thanks. "The many times" is 10 times and that's indeed many times and many years, Tony. (Thank you for your e-mail - I still owe you a decent reply. Be sure that I'll reply in the next days.)

Would be interesting to know how many times each of the original (i.e. non homebrew) games has been played in the tournaments so far. More statistics? No problem: Notes: - In every Vector War original games are played because most Vectrex fans have them at hand. All original games are supposed to be played about the same number of times but it's not that easy to achieve: Sport games on the Vectrex are not the best games and games like Armor Attack and others have cheats or bugs. - In 13 years a total of 72 different games have been played - 23 GCE/MB originals (see above) and 49 homebrew games.

Since Vector War and Halloween go hand in hand, I take it that by this you also propose Halloween on a monthly basis. You have the strong support of my kids! And mine as well.

Beware that future day! Now that you have said it, we will hold you to that promise O.k., promised and you have my word: You'll get a prize for 25 participations. Stephan ( Chainsaw) might be first to achieve this in the year 2037. So I still have some time to find good prizes. PS: If both Halloween and 1st November should be monthly I'll switch Vector War to a monthly event, too. Also promised.

PS: If both Halloween and 1st November should be monthly I'll switch Vector War to a monthly event, too. Also promised. That is actually a fun thought experiment about how to achieve such a thing. Here is what came to my mind:
We live in times where people believe anything their smartphones and the internet tell them. Now hack the universal-time server, hack the smartphone-OS servers, and implement a script that eternally resets the time and date on every device on November 15th back to October 15th (or forward to October 15th next year). That could also be an interesting setting for a sci-fi short-story about a society being controlled that way...
So maybe there is less time for you to find good prizes than you think

Hello All.
Even if it is already the 12th Jan. I also wish a good new Vectrex-full year to all. Interesting discussion here...
I hope I'm not the oldest here, I'm already 51 years old... In the year 2037 I will be already 65 years old !!! And I just told to a friend at the phone, that we are getting old already... Also I hope, our Vectrex hardware will last so long without too many troubles, at least at the moment, I would know a good friend to help me with changing some capacitors or stuff. (Myself, I would have to pracise first again a bit with the soldering iron, to not destroy instead to repair...)
And it seems, I had just luck, to join already at Vector War II. I cannot find anymore details, how I found the Vector War. Or how Vector War found me. I just found information, that I already had contact with Helmut in the year 2013 about Vector War III, and first, it was connected to the Retrozentrale Forum, a retro website from a good friend, but the website is down since a long time. Not sure anymore.
Oh Peer, I love such ideas. But mhhh, if we would do this, we would be able to have every week a Vector War? Just changing the date? Or if you want to improve your scores and ranking, just extend a running Vector War by turning back the date a few days. Or did I understood your idea wrong? At least, if you would do this for one person, and everybody around this person would know this and say: No, today is really the 12th January, not the 13th, would the person believe it anytime?
Also real time travelling is a great thing, you can play endless a game to beat the highest score during the Vector War, and you have so many time as you want. Last year, my time machine was broken, so I ranked only 4th. OK... Maybe I'm a bit crazy already. Sorry for this ideas. Sure I have no time travelling machine, and I think it is good, that it is not possible. Or... that we don't have the technics / possibility for it...

I think there are ample possibilities here for sci-fi themed stories. I like all that time-travel stuff a lot, especially the paradoxes. But here I was more thinking along the lines of a dystopian society being controlled by some entity which does the resetting of the dates, for some unknown and undisclosed reason. Maybe the majority of people is unaware that something is wrong with the sequence of dates, maybe some individuals are, but do not dare to speak out ... I do not have any details. I was just thinking that such an idea could possibly be turned into a story. Oh, and by the way, no, you are not the oldest one around here

Yeah ok, my time travel stuff was not the same like your story idea with the entity with resetting of the dates. But your idea sounds awesome, if there would be more details and a misterious story.
Oh since days after cloudy wheater, the sun is shining today, I will go out for a walk later, and enjoying this great Saturday.

Have I participated seven times?! That's a typical binary statement... Either it is true and I indeed participated seven times, or it is a little less true and it is a lower number. Seven feels like a bit high number though somehow. Even so, I probably still am a veteran by now no matter how you look at it.
