Hello folks
I have a Vectrex MB 3057XXX and an original 3D Imager with a small physical defect but 100% functional. I have played MS3D several times but the other day it didn't start. With the original cartridge the presentation screen appears, the disk begins to spin but the screen goes black.
I have tried several ROMs (also Narrow and Roller although the disk was worthless) on the VecMulti with SD (2010) with the same result. The included patcher tells me that it sees no reason to patch and does not patch. :-)
I don't have another control panel to confirm the possible failure of the port 2 switch 4, BUT:
When starting the 3D Color Test, the disk rotates and the lines are "painted" on the screen and I can interact with the control in the test: in the circle and the striped bands.
I would appreciate a little light because I am not an expert or very knowledgeable in electronics.
ALSO: I'm not sure: which is the homebrew that uses 3DMS disc? LOTR or Sector-X? And there's exist ROMs of them?
All the best

LOTR or Sector-X? And there's exist ROMs of them? Someone may correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think either ROM is freely available. Hopefully more can chime in about your Imager problems. Welcome to the forums though.

Since you do not have a second controller, you could try this in order to test the second control port:
Keep your controller in the regular port (right one). Start Heads Up / Soccer and select two-player mode. Start the game by pressing 4 on the controller. You can now control and move the light player. Now unplug the controller from the right port and plug it into the left port. If the left port works, you should now be able to control and move the dark player.
Hope this helps.
Many Cheers, Peer

Checking the controller port 2 in the way that Peer has described above is a good idea. Make also sure that the plug of the 3D Controller is plugged in properly; the spinning wheel indicates that 3D imager has voltage but still it's a good idea to double-check. Good luck, raugonmac, and keep us informed, here.
