Minsoft has sold all 400 of their full boxed copies and has now given me permission to carry on selling a version of this amazing game… Vyrzon clamshell edition is live! I don't like to do pre-orders but with the PCBs being programmed right now from my usual reliable source and everything else in hand I'm happy to start taking orders… www.vectorrepublic.co.uk

Great price too, with the overlay included. I'm sure sales will continue at a steady rate.

Yeah, I was able to buy the leftover overlays that Steve had and it also has the extra components on the PCB to allow for high score save which is a first for my carts 😎

Prize is great but there's customs and shipping costs from Great Britian to Germany which much add to the price. Not to speak that sometimes you have to show up in the customs office because they don't trust the estimated value of the imported goods.

Yes, Brexit has really screwed over the Vectrex community in Europe. On the other hand, at least Brits now know what a CN22 is, which is useful for me living in Switzerland.
What's the customs threshold in Germany? In Switzerland it's 65CHF or 100CHF if it's a gift from/to a private individual, but if the customs decide to have a look, you're in for a processing charge schlect überraschung.

The EU introduced a law in July 2021 whereby there is no threshold anymore for anything entering the EU from outside the EU. It was meant to deter Russian and Chinese resellers undercutting EU sellers but basically hurt everyone.

So now it's admin overload in the EU. I guess there's no silver bullet available.

Unless you're able to get something shipped without Customs, basically letters from here.

Just write down the code on a piece of paper, then send it as a letter, and the recipient types in the code again. Just like we did with BASIC programs back in the good old days, before tape recorders or disk drives were available.
Let's see how Customs deals with that...
