Thank you for this informative video, Brett. Do you perform all these steps for every single Vectrex cartridges that you sell? If yes, I'll pay you double the price next time.

Yeah, that's all of the steps... and then shipping, parts ordering and taking orders. No one is making any real money in the Vectrex scene... it's all for the love of the system and the joy of creation. Any small profits I make are put right back into more parts for projects. Will break even with Vectorlinks someday.

Is that paste as good as actual solder? Would you ever consider selling Telengard and Asteroids with a box and overlay? Maybe through Packrat Video Games or Sean Kelly's store?

Thanks Yeah solder paste is exactly the same material as a roll of solder. They are tiny balls of solder suspended in flux that forms the paste. So when you add heat, it all melts together. This is how all modern electronics are made, except they use high speed machines to automate the processes. I like building them by hand though. If you'd like to buy one of the carts that were built in the video, they are currently for sale on eBay. Check the link at the bottom of the video description. I will make more available sometime in the future, but I have some other projects I'm working on right now, so no guarantees when that will be.
