Starting to hit "the wall" now. Only marginal increases in a few games. I'm astounded by the level of skill on display. I might be able to squeeze a little more out of Thrust, but it's quite challenging now. I might be able to squeeze a little more out of Thrust, but it's quite challenging now. Yeah Thrust is a "high concentration" game indeed. I see you are biting at my heels score wise there. Those doors in Thrust are real killers. I got surprising use for the knowledge about lifting heavy loads with overhead cranes and more specifically on how to counteract a swinging load.

Bedlam: 57'200 Halloween: 7'370 Marine Fox: 30'268 Vectrexagon: 118:26 ibb.co/wN9Mrntibb.co/KmcG370ibb.co/xhgP1j1ibb.co/k9RgbmYBedlam is insanely difficult past 50k points or so. I'm not quite sure how I ever even got 75k on it. I guess since I had about 6 lives saved up. Bedlam makes me use the most energy to play of all the games on this list. Of course, at least it isn't unplayably impossible like Ripoff, or nauseatingly disorienting and confusing like Polar Rescue. Or how about Pole Position where if you even think about door dinging another car, you suddenly explode. And of course Star Castle isn't even worth bothering to play since some people cheesed it. For Marine Fox, I've got a strategy worked out. Focus on the middle dots first, then slowly pick off the dots on the top and bottom edges when it's safe. There can only ever be one shark in any given lane. So if one is headed upwards in a lane, it's safe to go for the dots below him. I also find it's safer to make straight vertical upwards and downwards movements on the top and bottom edges. Going straight across the top or bottom edge horizontally is like playing Russian roulette, except with sharks instead of bullets. I also like to wait to go for the dangerous dots until all or most sharks have already warped. If you go for a dot on the edges right before 3 or 4 sharks are about to warp, you're extremely likely to get killed. But if you wait til most of them have already warped and you know they're out of harm's way, it's much safer. The items are very important. If you can get the invincibility item which looks like brackets [ ] on level 8, then you're very likely to beat it. There's a huge difficulty spike on level 8. I like to focus on the middle dots first and wait for an item to appear and hope it's either the invincibility or the shark slow down (fin icon). The items are: [ ] - Invincibility for about 10 seconds. Best item in the game. You can swim through sharks for as long as the icon stays on the screen up top. /\ Shark Fin - Slows down all sharks for about 10 seconds. This is the 2nd best item in the game. And also a gamechanger on level 8 and beyond. >> Fast forward icon - Increases your speed to 1.5 times your normal speed. This is extremely dangerous on later levels. For that reason alone, whenever you're going for the item icon, plan for the worst by assuming it will be this item. So never take the item when there's a shark on the other side that you'll zoom into if you get the speed up item. $ Bonus Refill - This is the most useless and situational item in the game. It refills your time meter / bonus meter. So if you get it early in a level like I always seem to do, then it does absolutely nothing. It's only useful if you get it later on in a level when the time meter has been drained. <> Remove a column of dots - The item that looks exactly like how the dots look will clear a whole row or column of dots for you. Evidently you aren't awarded the points for the dots when this happens. Also it appears that if you get this later in a level with only a few dots remaining, that it will often choose a row that has already been cleared, and thus it will do nothing.

Highscore list has been updated - see initial post. Current top 5 ranking: 1. kiwasabi (572pts) 2. Chainsaw (561pts) 3. mozie (550pts) 4. arquillos (490pts) 5. Vorkosigan (473pts) @moyu has joined and qualified, congratulations! FYI, I'm seeing an issue in the score tables where Clean Sweep and Polar Rescue are only awarding first place 50 points instead of 100. Indeed, score table was wrong here. Reason was Heads Up Soccer which was played last year. I've fixed this. Thank you very much for this important hint, kiwasabi. ___ @ Moyu: Great that you participate in another Vector War! And cool that you've submitted scores for almost every game in the Vector War. Good luck and fun!
