3. Invisible landscape 4. Invisible landscape/reverse gravity WUT?! °_° Presumably it expects you to have memorised them by then... If you're proficient in the levels by then that's part of it, but just use your shield to light up the landscape (the bunkers, reactors, pod and fuel cells can be seen as is). That's why you need as much fuel as possible; invisible landscape isn't that bad--you just need to light it up here and there--but the final section with the invisibility along with the reverse gravity is indeed a nightmare.

Chainsaw : Just for your information, as we have talked about this issue in the past. I just for fun played my bug-fixed regular-speed version of Bedlam (no stuttering, zapper correctly working, original 30Hz framerate), and compared it to the buggy original. I reached level 8, but got only a little more than 100.000 points. Same in earlier levels. When reaching e.g. level 6, my score was way below my level 6 score obtained with the original. I strongly guess that this is how Bedlam was meant to behave, and that the much higher scores we get with the buggy original are also due to the stuttering bug which seems to cause certain hits to count several times. OK, thanks for the information. Will play "your" 30Hz version also again after the Vector War. Level 8 ? Is this possible, because in Level 6 it starts rotating fast and change the rotating speed. Isn't it then much more difficult when it runs smooth and changing the rotation direction randomly? But yeah, I also will try it. About the high scores: If this type of enemy appears (like little stars), that you cannot kill, but only throw back a bit by shooting it, I always try to shoot at them as much and fast as possible to increase the score rapidly. It also needs a bit luck, if in an easier level 3 or 4 of them appearing, you can shoot at them as fast as possible to increase your score. Never watched at the score during gameplay, if there are bugs that increase the score by counting hits twice or similar, but maybe yes, it could be possible. But I think, you achieved your high score also with shooting as much as possible at the indestructable enemies?

About Release: I always kill the stars, because they are just confusing me. Also I think, the object that gives the highest points is spawning randomly. In some games often, sometimes not so often, so it is also a bit luck, how much score you will reach.
About A crush of Lucifer: Somehow I like the idea and the graphic, even if it flickers a lot. But the first part is too easy, at least in the first 2 levels, and the part with the indestructable blocks is to difficult. Would be easier, if left / right commands would move you exactly from "block to block".
About the hint from kiwasabi: I used it already at the beginning of the first level. I immediately turn hard left or hard right while holding down / back until I'm at the correct place. First level is so slow, that you shouldn't crash in anything. Yes in level 2, it doesn't work anymore well, then it is better to do it in the zone between the first and second area of the level. Didn't play it a lot yet, will also try to reach higher scores.
Star Castle: I knew the point to collect points by just firing the two outer shields, and never the core with the canon, but it really lasts a long time. Maybe I will do it during listening some music or so, maybe not. But I'm so extremely tired today, that it will be luck if I can do some great scores. But lets see.

Isn't it then much more difficult when it runs smooth and changing the rotation direction randomly? But yeah, I also will try it. Up to level 6, in the buggy version, the stuttering helps, as it slows down the game. But then stuttering + fast rotation + speed change + non working zapper is awful. In the fixed version, getting to level 6 is harder, but then the fast rotation + change speed, but without stuttering, is better playable because the movements of your cannon also do not stutter. At least that is how it felt to me. And the zapper is working. So yes, I got to level 8. But as far as I can tell, levels 6 + 7 + 8 are very much alike.Yes, I did. And that is the reason why I was surprised not get about the same score in the fixed version.

Highscore list has been updated - see initial post. Current top 5 ranking: 1. mozie (600pts) 2. kiwasabi (585pts) 3. Chainsaw (544pts) 4. Peer (530pts) 5. Sketcz (498pts) Notes:I've just set a maximum score of "A Crush of Lucifer": 70.000 pts. Threshold score for Star Castle might be too low for skilled players but I'll leave that threshold score one untouched. Tomorrow, there will be a new score code from 4:00a.m. EDT / 9:00a.m. CET/MEZ. Old and new score code will have a four hour overlapping. ___ @ John ( mozie): Given that you dislike Thrust it's an excellent score. Good playing everyone. I'll fire up my Vectrex console, now. Yesterday I've designed my score code sheet so I better use it before score code expires.
