... It was only a suggestion from my side regarding the spoon. But for me personally it would feel strange if I just had to hand it over to someone in my own household. So my suggestion is that ALL players participating on MY Vectrex can not win the spoon. However, it is up to you as the judge to say if we should be counted when looking for who is second to last. (That means these players: Fruktodlaren, Len, Moyu, Måns and Anna) There are two ways to go about that as I see it. A. We are all invisible when counting places. B. We are counted when looking for who is second to last, but if one of us ARE second to last, you pick the next one up. I am sorry that who will be winning the spoon yet again becomes a controversy thanks to me. I remember we had this discussion before in one way or another. No problem, Tony. I just looked up how wooden spoon had been determined last year and found that rule "B" had been applied, see here. I thought a bit about it and found that this rule is better than rule B: With rule A a player might think that he/she's second last and wins the wooden spoon while he/she actually doesn't because last ranked person is immune to the spoon (hmm, even rhymes). So rule B is the way to go in VW XIV. In the ranking above it would be Toph who would win the wooden spoon.

hcmffm think you missed malbans Marine fox score? 👍 Chris submitted the score for "Marin aFox", so it doesn't count. Seriously, thanks for the hint; I've just fixed that.

New Player: Zuko aka my wife Anja (gamer since C64 and Gameboy). When Toph was playing Clean Sweep Zuko took the Vectrex controller for the first time and reached a decent score. Finally broke 100k on thrust, trying to escape level 12 with the orb took a looonnnnggg time almkst 3 hours its truly a horrible experience but once you get to the invisible levels as stated, they are not as bad as I had thought as you can hold the Button down to display the level when required (albeit with no thrust power!) Thrust 100300. I must admit I am starting to enjoy the game more

Only one shark can be in each column at a time. So you can ride behind a shark and grab all the dots in his column. Try to time going for the dots on the edge for when all the sharks have already spawned. Hang out in the middle until they've all spawned, then react accordingly. On later levels this is difficult as there are so many sharks and they are very fast. But its still possible to time your movements to coincide with their spawn timing. The item that looks like brackets is the power item because it's invincibility for 10 seconds. The shark fin item slows down all the sharks for about 10 seconds. $ refills your bonus meter. >> is fast forward and makes you go 1.5 times the normal speed. And the <> one removes one row or column of the dots. This game is brutal but can be fun and rewarding when the stars finally align and you get farther into the levels.

As I dont know if I will have playtime tomorrow I want to thank Helmut and VectorX for this years VW. You're welcome, but other than hosting and offering some tips and insights I don't really do that much. Maybe next year I can finally reenter the hectic fold of playing again!
