How is everyone getting such high scores on Star Castle? Amazing! I keep messing up by destroying all the shields, thus growing a new one. And even when I do peel it away carefully, the cannon has pin point aim. Leave up more than one piece of each shield in case you shoot one of the pieces accidentally. That way you won't be constantly growing new shields. When the cannon is exposed, you really can't stop moving or you'll die. You gotta get good at orbiting the whole star castle and squeaking in a shot on the cannon while in motion. It's a very difficult and chaotic game. Probably the hardest of the original Vectrex games. Also keep in mind you don't die if you bounce into the star castle shields. So don't be afraid to get in close. Don't open up the last shield until you're ready to start your approach on the cannon. And like I said, at that point you can't stop moving while aiming and shooting at the cannon, or else you're dead. |
