Can you increase the brightness rotating the potentiometer sticking out of the back of your vectrex. Do you see a white dot in the centre? if yes - did you remember to connect the earth wire between the logic and analogue board. Not sure about the sound though looks like you may have done something wrong. Other possibilities. Have you remembered to reconnect all the flying leads to their connectors?

Thank you for the answer! All connectors and wires are on their places. I took a tester and found that audio signal was paired with ground. Looks like the coaxial cable I use is too unflexible: when I move CPU board around, the angle between the board and the cable changes and such movements affects on the tester's indicator. The cable closes a circut in some positions, I guess. Will try another one tomorrow.

I replaced the cable. No that terrible whistle now, and I can hear quiet crackle while rotating the volume (it is Ok). But no image as well. On high brightnes I can see a dot (slightly moved out of the center of the screen).

Finally, my friend helps to repair the Vectrex. 6522 controller was broken (probably because of short circut while modding). Anyway, the buzz sound is still loud. I'll try to add headphones connector right before Vectrex's volume amplifier to connect external sound system instead of build-in speaker.

Wow, that's nuts. Hope that does the trick.
