If he ever posts again, what's that at the left in the third picture with the kid with the blue cap on? I hadn't seen that one before, whatever it is.

I am friends with Martijn, and can contact him if you need more clarification. I believe that is a European Advertisement...and possibly a late release item. This is all I could find about it: www.atarihq.com/vectrex/adtrans.txtMy playable Vectrex with homebrew Dust Cover Controllers: 1 Original, 2 homebrew, homebrew Lightpen, homebrew 3D Flicker Glasses adapter + random paperwork Original US GCE Releases (Part 1) Original US GCE Releases (Part 2) and various homebrews/multicarts NIB Sealed US System (sold since posting) GCE US Carrying Case and Dust Cover (sold since posting) Revival Studios homebrew Releases (Disregard PSP Games) Post-Prohibition 1940's Old Mr. Boston Whiskey Bottle: (Small lettering states: Federal Law forbids sale or reuse of this bottle) And a video of my most unique item: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0L4VPUG0-To

Desfeek, you are very lucky to have a collection like that. I had an opportunity to get one of those SNES/Vectrex controllers at the Seattle Retro Gaming Expo, but alas, I was looking for NES and Game Boy stuff. Had a pretty good haul there! That's some OCD Vectrex collecting! Personally, I don't care for a small few of the GCE releases, so my "collection" will never be "complete". However, I still have a few things I'd like to get. Those clear protective boxes from Ebay look cool. Especially Bedlam, Vectrexians and Space Wars!... Grumble grumble And don't dis those PSP games! Ys and Lunar are amazing! I'm getting two Ys T-shirts from the Xseed store myself

Revival Studios homebrew Releases (Disregard PSP Games) Yes, no PSP or any other non-Vectrex stuff in this part of the forums!! Ys is cool, I just played the first one on the SMS and Ys 3 on the Genny (liked the original a bit, not so impressed with 3 though).

Thank you for the kind words futureprimitive! It took a long time, and I spent way more than I should have on things like Polar Rescue, but it's nice to type 'Vectrex' in on ebay and not need ANYTHING The clear plastic cases came from an atariage member, ianoid. He still has a ton in storage, if anyone is interested in them, contact Ian! I freaking love Xseed games and their PSP releases. They remind me of Working Designs in their strive to put out great games in top-notch packaging. I just need Ys Seven (and put more time into Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky). Nobody said anything about my Mr. Boston bottle...my replacement for the game I will most likely never own haha

it's nice to type 'Vectrex' in on ebay and not need ANYTHING Um, but, we'll ALWAYS "need' Vectrex stuff though! Nobody said anything about my Mr. Boston bottle...my replacement for the game I will most likely never own haha Join the club! BTW, someone had posted once about thinking there could possibly be many more Mr. Bostons than people think, as he had severe doubts only a few were made and distributed, there could still be a batch of them sitting in a warehouse somewhere...thoughts? I just need Ys Seven (and put more time into Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky). I started a Ys thread here you might want to check out. I've only played two of the games so I can't contribute much to the thread, but others might be able to ;D

The Mr. Boston promotion itself is clouded in mystery. Where exactly were they distributed and why? Was it an in -company only giveaway? A special 'bonus' item for certain, special customers?
I'd be willing to bet that more than 4 exist. Like the Nintendo World Championship carts, a company must produce more carts than they actually plan to give away. However, we are dealing with a Stadium Events / Air Raid type rarity. When so few show up after thirty years of searching - keep in mind the absolutely rabid Vectrex fan base - I, at least, start to believe only 10-20 were ever made, and most ended up in landfills somewhere.
I think the best place to look for information is the Mr. Boston company itself, they might have records of their promotion.
As a fun side note not many people know: Newport Cigarettes once contacted GCE about a specialized version of Web Wars. Nobody knows if anything was done with the request, but I for one would love to see that hack!

Yeah I forget what the Vectrex database had to say about the cigarettes promo, if it was completed and sent to the company and no one heard anything back or what. (Does anyone remember?)
I'd say there were more than just a few Mr. Bostons made...HAD to have been.

Anyone know if there are any schematics around for that Sega 3D glasses adapter?

I can't find any schematics, if they were ever publicly posted. We could probably track those down, if somebody were seriously considering producing more... Anyway, I'm posting a collection update, got a couple new items in the mail this week: -Vectrex 'Robot' T-Shirt made by Jeroen Sanders (100 made in 2005) last one he had - Burgundy XXXL (says 'Vectrex Arcade System' in US lettering on front) -Vectrex Passport Magazine! (not the pamphlet) -Vectrex Acessory Order Form (I didn't have a loose one for some reason) -Free Information Pamphlet that were common at Vectrex retailers at the time Also got word from George that my Warrior #041 and Sundance #059 are coming soon, and waiting for Kristof to verify my Vector Pilot #050! Should be an day now (he's busy!).
