I noticed on KLOV forums that Clay Cowgill appears to be developing a multi-vector PCB board! It will be made to be run in b&w Asteroids and Asteroids Deluxe games, a no soldering board swap. It will run a bunch of vector arcade games though not in color, obviously. He says that depending on demand it could also have cocktail support for two-player games like Armor..Attack and Rip-Off. forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=245586If this comes out I may have to hunt down an Asteroids cocktail game. Like I can afford that! He might even make a color vector version later for the Gravitar/Space Duel cabinets depending on how popular this one is. He even hinted at there being a brand new game included in the current board along with possibly 1 or 2 raster games converted to vector! Man, I hope this happens.

What does this amount to as far as playing other games? Is there some kind of writable memory, or would it be issued with a pre-selected set of games? ... Besides the prospect of owning this, it would be sweet to see more vector games in arcades. The retro arcade local to me does have an Asteroids Deluxe cab and they are constantly swapping boards on their other machines.

From the same thread - "Games and misc. info off the top of my head: Armor Attack, Asteroids, Asteroids Deluxe, Gravitar, Lunar Lander, Omega Race, Rip-Off, Solar Quest, Space Duel, Star Castle, Vector Breakout, Vectroids (new Asteroids-like game that Neil's writing that runs native on the ARM), and War of the Worlds for the first release. We're setup hardware/memory-wise to accommodate the Sega G-80 stuff (Space Fury, Zektor, etc.) as well as stuff like Tempest, Vectrex, etc. in future updates if it ends up being popular. There will likely be a couple new games from my friend Tom as well (a one-player Space War clone and a one-player port of Bacterion from the Atari 800)." And there's a video of the set-up menu (developed on a Windows box) - www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDPDyB5gF0A&feature=plcpIt appears that this won't be some limited-production/act now or miss out kit but something that he says will be available to anyone who wants one. I'm definitely going to buy one and I don't even own an Asteroids or Asteroids Deluxe yet.
