Hello Vectrexers.
Can anyone suggest how a VecFlash or its equivalent can be built?
I've drawn and etched PCB's and soldered a little, but I have little relevant skill for building such things.
I fortunately now have space in which to build an electronics workshop, so I'm ready to begin working harder.
Even the smallest suggestion is welcome.
I have tried to Google it for myself, so if I've missed something obvious then I apologize for wasting your time.

I probably don't know what I'm talking about, but I would think the VecFlash would enable one to execute new code from a computer as quickly as it is built.
Multicarts I believe require the intermediate step of an EPROM burner, which makes testing slow.

No, you're probably right.
Hopefully someone else on here will have a link if there's one out there.

I have a vecflash. There is software for writting and re-writting files to it. I just have the usb connector. Never used it the more immediate way, which i think involves a different cable. Suppose you could just use a longer usb cable, to not have to take it out of vectrex.
Richard H, who made vecflash and currently makes vecmulti, may be a member here. I know he is on AtariAge. He might answer some questions.

Oisto, The VecFlash seems to have been superseded by the VecMulti, which is both: a customizable Multicart and has the ability to connect via USB or serial port for development mode to save wear-and-tear on the SD card. Pics from his site: Even though his site says "Sold Out," I read on the AtariAge forums that he has bare cards without cases available so I PMed him, sent $85 via PayPal, and the card arrived within a week. Postage was included in the cost, as was an SD card loaded with ROMs. Then I bought the cheapest loose cart I could find on eBay (Heads-Up Soccer for $13 shipped) which I plan to load the VecMulti into. (Haven't gotten around to it yet...)

Thank you. I didn't know not to believe the "Sold Out." I just replied to your PM and look forward to sending Sundance to you.

Yeah, I believed "Sold Out" meant "sold out" too, until I read this thread at atariage.com. Very excited to see I hadn't missed the boat on everything like I originally thought.
