Hi to all Vectrex collectors,
Do any of you know if there are plastic protective cases available for Vectrex game boxes? If yes, where could I buy those?
And if not, how do your keep your precious Vectrex game boxes minty?
I myself use plastic bags to keep them in... Not really pretty but it does the trick for now.
Cheers,
Turbo

I've never seen any but I'd be interested in them as well.

A guy associated with the following web address used to sell them: sites.google.com/site/ianoidboxes/But they were not the exact size for Vectrex game boxes because they were made to be general purpose and fit other game console game boxes too.

Yes, I bought several from Ianoid within the last couple years (I recall he had more in storage). He is pretty active over on AtariAge...might try shooting him a message there, if you can't get ahold of him via that email address.
Edit: They are of a very good quality, sturdy plastic, and fit Vectrex boxes almost perfectly. Highly recommended for keeping your boxes nice (and they look cool, too!)

This piqued my interest so I emailed ianoid. He got back to me the next day and said he's not currently selling, (and that he was surprised I found his old page). He did mention having some in storage, that he might be getting back into in a couple of months. I went by a store in my area called The Container Store, hoping to find something else along these lines. ... Didn't find cases for the boxes there, but they did have these little cases that fit Vectrex cartridges nicely. Good for carts such as the ones in this pic, which otherwise don't really have any packaging. These were 2.99 ea and are intended for displaying hockey pucks. Two pieces with beveled corner joints that tightly fit together. Not really made for frequent opening and closing. Attachments:

You might just want to make sure to not close them all the way or something then.
