I don't have Vectrexians but I want to track it on the Retroboards on the R'cade Mag forums.
For those of you that have the game, what's the difficulty 1 setting like? Do the Galaxians still drop bombs? Does the game ramp up in difficulty? Is difficulty 1 too easy?

I must say, that I´m actually enjoying Vectrexians just as much as Vector Pilot  Just wish that the game included a high score list and a possibility to save the score, as in Vector Pilot. For now, I usually pause the game when I loose my last life, so I can take a snapshot on the phone as proof of me eliminating my friends high score from last night  If there is a future revision with highscore save, I´ll gladly buy it again. At the moment, though only at Difficulty 1, I have reached Stage 9 with a score of 24,980. I was pretty much "in the zone" around stage 6-8, but then I began too loose focus, when I was running out of time to play the game. Gonna try to make it through all 20 stages on Diff 1. tonight. I really want to see that cutscene at the end |

Two years ago there was a Galaxians contest and I remember well that at higher stages the enemies get really nasty. Good luck and keep us informed, steel76! |

Yeah it's really easy to get cornered. It gets insane at higher levels, when the leader convoys are backed up by the rest of the bastards, with bullets raining down on you, and no pause in between the attacks to breathe. Curse the ship for not having a smaller hit box Thank you! I'll keep you up updated |

Well, Level 16 seems to be the limit for me tonight. It´s past midnight over here in Sweden, so that´s the best I can do for the moment. Score 50.500. Hopefully I will be able to get to the end by this weekend |

Wow! Didn´t realise I was breaking so many records last night. I submitted the score to "Highscore.com", where the highest is at around 35.000 I started to play REALLY badly at the beginning, barely getting past Level 7-8, and was about to give up. But then, I finally got back "into the zone"  |

Thank you! I´m actually surprised of how much I love this game. I was expecting to play Vector Pilot a lot more. I was more of a Galaga fan, than of Galaxians. Gonna focus on this one until I finish it, before going all out on Vector Pilot again Anyone else on this forum that have seen the cutscene? And what are your highscores? |

I´m actually surprised of how much I love this game. I was expecting to play Vector Pilot a lot more. Sometimes you can be surprised. Even with as much as I love Space Invader-type games, I figured that, once I got Vecmania, I'd just play the Vector Vaders Remix a few times and that'd be it. Surprisingly I played it just as much as all the other games on there (i. e. a lot!). |
