Hi, I am developing an USB multi-game/development cartridge and would like to make it compatible with Animaction.
I am unable of find the schematic of this cartridge.
Can anyone help me?
Best regards from Spain.

Don't know the official circuit diagram. But I know that the ANIMACTION cartridge contains 8K ROM at memory address $0000-$1FFF followed by 2K RAM at memory address $2000-$27FF. Richard H has build USB and VecMulti multi carts, might be worth sending him an email. He is at www.vectrex.biz

just had a quick Google. Seems there were three versions of the PCB for AnimAction: A single chip PCB, a two chip PCB and a 3 chip PCB. Couldn't find the circuit diagram but the components are listed for the three chip version: 2764 (8K) EPROM, 6116 (2K) SRAM and an 74LS139 dual 2-4 line decoder.

Thank you very much vectrex mad... Finally I found the connections table here (https://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.vectrex/tree/browse_frm/month/2000-06/59564999a56bd29f?rnum=131&_done=%2Fgroup%2Frec.games.vectrex%2Fbrowse_frm%2Fmonth%2F2000-06%3F) but I had already sent the PCB design to manufacturing, so my cartridge will not be compatible with Animaction.

This is the first prototype and my son (6 years old) playing Fortress of Nazord... I prefer MineStorm

Cool to see your project working jfmateos, and welcome to the Vector Gaming Forums.
... I know this has nothing to do with your project anymore since you've scrapped Animaction compatability, and maybe it never had anything to do with it anyway, but I was going to offer to open up my Animaction cartridge and take photos for you. ... But as a result of this thread and that intention of mine, I discovered that my Animaction cartridge does not have a screw in the back?!? I guess it is a different cartridge design, probably with a screw on the front, underneath the sticker.

Yeah, you'll see that on later release Vectrex games (no screw). My Pole Position has no screw - my theory is that most games under the 'Graphic Computer System Cartidge' label got a redesign

Thank you very much gliptitude... It would be nice to see the internals of Animaction cartridge...
I own a HyperChase cartridge that was unable to open too

Hmmm. I have two Animaction carts and I just checked the other and it also has no screw. ... I didn't check every Vectrex cart that I have, but it looks like almost all of mine, besides Animaction, do have a screw.
... So on the Hyperchase and Pole Position you guys have, do you know if there is a screw on the front behind the label?

Derp. After remembering and doing quick research to confirm: cartridges with no visible screw were glued together. No point in removing the label - and probably why there aren't many pictures of the PCB itself.

My hyperchase has no screw under the label, so I assume that must be glued :-(

Animation was missing it, whereas the other two lightpen titles have a screw for example.
