I have mentioned before this guy Norbert Kehrer because he created an Asteroids emulator that runs on Atari 8-bit computers (and now also C64 computers) - web.utanet.at/nkehrer/but now, in the current issue of Retro Gamer (#115) he was interviewed in their Homebrew section. He was asked about future plans to which he answered - "I want to work further with Asteroids and I hope to be able to make 'perfect' conversions for not only the Vectrex but also for Z80-based home computers like the ZX Spectrum and the MSX or Amstrad computers." Hell yes!! Asteroids, for real, on the Vectrex! Maybe he can emulate other Atari vector games eventually? A guy can dream.

That's pretty cool, hope that works out indeed.

Oh, that would be fantastic! And what better console for the game than the Vectrex!

Hey, that's great and promising news! Minestorm is cool and Rockaroids is also good. But I wouldn't mind a very close Asteroids port. I wonder whether and how we could support and encourage Norbert for the Asteroids port. Perhaps a forum member can contact him?

I'm always excited about new vectrex games though maybe slightly less for this since there already is rockaroids. However, if it's a perfect conversion and maybe has additional special options or features it could be really cool.

I wish somebody would have a stab at Battlezone.

There's just been an unfinished demo from Christopher Tumber that I know of and that's it.

Battlezone would really require a custom controller with two joysticks (and fire buttons on top) I think. That would be an awesome homebrew, Battlezone with a color overlay and new controller all in a big box. And while I'm daydreaming, have Kate Upton deliver it in a '71 Dodge Challenger.

I like your thinking. The joystick bit. Obviously.

Sorry. Haven't got time. I've got to comb my chest.
Oh, hold tight. Did you say Fury? I thought you said Furry.
