The Vectrex manual²s project progresses steadily. 26 out of 30 Vectrex manual²s are completed:
Next manual² will be: Clean Sweep

Initial post back in 2014:
In the internet, the Vectrex manuals can be found and downloaded as ASCII text files or PDF files. A good source for the Vectrex manuals is DigitalPress, for example. Typically, the PDF files contain black&white scans of the original Vectrex manuals. I.e. the PDFs are just collections of scanned images.
= Vectrex manuals as real PDFs
I'm thinking about creating a Vectrex manual as a real PDF consisiting of text and real vector graphics, which should be as close to the original as possible. As a start, I would try one of the GCE manuals, e.g. Pole Position, Star Castle, or Polar Rescue. Some of the results and experiences (font, layout, ...) of this first Vectrex manual might be used for other manuals, e.g. a real Mail Plane manual. And the Mail Plane manual might make its way to a print shop and be released as a part of a fully featured release with cartridge, manual, and box.
= Graphic tool for creating booklet (=Vectrex manual)
Now, I wonder what the right software for such a booklet with text and graphics would be. Word? Open Office? Corel Draw? Currently, I tend to use Corel Draw 10 which has been used in the past for Vectrex Overlays and is available by some people, here. Corel Draw would allow for printing to a PDF printer and creating a master for professional printing.
Before starting with Corel Draw 10 I would like to hear other voices.

= Other questions
- Are such "real" PDF manuals available somewhere in the net or someone's harddisk, already?
- Does someone have experience in creating such manuals, already?
- Does anyone know which font has been used in the manuals?
- I tend to start with one of the rarer ones (e.g. Star Castle, Polar Rescue, Pole Position, 3D Minestorm, ...). Probably it will be StarCastle. But I don't care much which Vectrex manual I start with as long as I possess the physical manual myself or a high quality scan (single images) is available for download, alternatively. High quality scans of Bedlam, AnimAction, ArtMaster, and Berzerk are available at AtariAge, for example. Other opinions / wishes other than Star Castle?
