The copyright on the front? (I don't think it's a Cinematronics title!) Good point, Mayhem. On the bottom right of the Dark Tower scan you cannot see any writing due to scan quality. I just reused the copyright notices of Star Castle which is definetely wrong, here. I'll have a more detailed look than the cursory read through when I have more time later... Good. I've overlayed the scan and the vector graphics and checked for differences, already, but I might have overseen something. Side note: I just realized that the logo of the board game Dark Tower is very close to the logo of the Vectrex game.

When thinking about the next manual to be vectorized I found that there are at least two design types of Vectrex manuals: a.) The all-grey-coloured manuals (Armor Attack, Berzerk, Scramble, ...) b.) The grey/black coloured manuals (Star Castle, Polar Rescue, ...). EDIT: c.) The white/black coloured manuals (3D Narrow Escape, ...)
From what I can see the grey design was the original and old(er) design; the grey/black design came later.
Here's an overview:
Grey front page design: Armor Attack (done) Berzerk (done) Blitz! Clean Sweep Cosmic Chasm Hyper Chase Minestorm (done) Rip Off Scramble (done) Solar Quest Space Wars Star Hawk Star Trek * (done)
Grey/Black front page design: Bedlam Dark Tower * (done) Fortress of Narzod Heads Up Polar Rescue * (under development) Pole Position * (done) Spike Spinball Star Castle * (done) Web Warp
EDIT: White/black front page design: 3D Crazy Coaster * (done) 3D Minestorm * (done) 3D Narrow Escape * (done) Animaction * (done) Art Master * (done) Melody Master (done)
I have U.S. versions of the games marked with '*' at hand. Are there wishes/preferences for the next manuals to be vectorized?

Very impressive work, hcmffm! At one point I was going through the available scans of Vectrex manuals to edit out imperfections, but your complete rebuilds are much more worthwhile I have U.S. versions of Pole Position, Polar Rescue, and the 3D games at hand. Are there wishes/preferences for the next manuals to be vectorized? I have an inclination towards seeing manuals of the 3D games next, as they would be a nice counterpart to my recent acquiring of the madtronix 3D imager.

Thanks for your positive feedback, wazzal. :-) Your wish is my command: 3D Narrow Escape will be the next Vectrex manual². Let's see whether 50tbrd can provide the vectorized logo of 3D Narrow Escape, this would speed up the creation of the manual significantly.

A first version of 3D Narrow Escape manual² is available for download. Text is complete but graphics are still missing or are incomplete.

This project is really coming along very nicely! Thanks for the accolade, TrekMD. :-) I'm also quite content with the results so far. 3D Narrow Escape manual² is complete, now. There will be some final minor graphical corrections, only. Thanks to 50tbrd for the logo graphics! 3D Mine Storm manual² is on it's way...

Great work Thank you, akator. :-) 3D Mine Storm manual² is complete, now. Again, thank you, 50tbrd for the logo graphics! Over a longer period I'll try to create Vectrex manual²s for all GCE Vectrex games. Possibly, 50tbrd will provide the logos which cuts down the time quite a bit. Next manual²s will be: 3D games- 3D Crazy Coaster Lightpen games- ArtMaster - Animaction - Melody Master Grey/Black manuals- Pole Position - Polar Rescue - ... Grey manualsArmor Attack Berzerk ...

Fantastic work, very valuable. I never saw these manuals before, and you woke my scientific curiosity. I´d like take a look at the Lightpen manuals, over all. Thanks for the effort!

Okay, I've scanned the Melody Master manual @ 600dpi. It is a bit of a large manual, the total file size uncompressed is 400MB (!). I've had to upload the pages individually to my Box account, but I can share the folder out I hope...

Thank you very much for your positive feedback and appreciation, centaura and wazzal! :)And thank you, again, Mayhem, for the Melody Master scan! After a long spring/summer break I'll continue the Vectrex Manual² project. The Lightpen manuals are quite challenging and entiring due to the many pages and illustrations. And a problem with graphic conversion between Inkscape and Corel Draw had created some headache on my side. To avoid headaches and to keep me motivated, I've decided to lower the very high quality level a bit and rather continue with the next manuals. Once all manuals are available in decent quality, I'll do some refinement and polishing. Please note that we are speaking of many manuals and many months. So for now, I declare the ArtMaster manual² completed. Next and Vectrex manual² #7 will be Melody Master. So far I've OCR'ed Mayhem's scans and created a simple, non-formatted document.

People working/collaborating in this project deserve all my respect. The quality of these manuals is outstanding. Happy to see the elusive (for me) Melody Master manual is on the run
