Attention Vectrex developers (or future developers/builders of repro carts etc)!
I am currently looking into a group-buy for Vectrex cartridge shells. We are looking to get the best possible price on them so if you are interested in ordering shells can you please post here with your name, the number of shells you require (lets say a minimum of 100 units per developer) and your location.
I am afraid we cannot supply shells to flashcart/multicart builders.
*edit* Please also indicate if you require PCBs too (eeprom type - they use 32k or 64k chips like the PCBs Jon Dondzila used to supply)
Thanks,
Chris

I am also in on this.
The minimum order amount will be met (1000 shells). Estimated price is $2.50 each.
If all of us can get the total order up to 4000 shells then the price could drop to an estimated $1.75 each.
Chris

I am worried about the shipping... any clue about how much would be the shipping to spain of 100 shells?

We are trying to keep prices down to a minimum, as well as shipping costs. There will be stock held in the US and the UK and distributed from there. We are trying to make sure we dont order too few/many. Minumum order is 2000 now but i think we shall be buying more than that. There is a discount at 5000 pieces, just trying to gauge if there is enough interest to warrant ordering a number that high. No point in having a large excess of stock sitting around.

Have you contacted Richard Hutchinson, George, Andrew Coleman, Kristoff and John's successor?

He had one lined up, I suppose, but it has been a couple of months since I was told things just needed to be finalized. I have not contacted him since then and the site hasn't made any progress since its initial make over.

Well, that's good to hear (I hope?). Just have to wait and see how things go I guess (personally I'm not going to bother him since he's busy enough as it is).

Hello there to all !
Are these the usual shells like Sean Kelly used to produce or are these shells coming from a new tooling/manufacturer ?
IF they are the same or have at least a similar quality, then I'm also interested in +-750 shells.
Delivery to Belgium (shipment fromout the U.K. then I suppose?)
Cheers !
Kristof

Hi Kristof, thanks for posting here. These are from the same source as before. Sean is arranging the manufacture in China. I'm happy to send on carts from UK however it would probably work out cheaper to send from the US to you for such a large batch. I think the current plan is to wait until the end of the month to get a good idea of the number of carts needed in the US/UK and europe and order based on that. I will keep a good few hundred, possibly 1000 spare to sell to UK/europe devs and I think Matthew and Sean plan to hold a stock for devs in the US.

For reference... if 'one' had the PCBs what do you then need to do/have to get code on them so it was a working cart?
Just thinking forward for myself and if making my own carts was going to be a goer.
Cheers,
cNp
